Welcome to the Ahtahkakoop Adult Education page.
The Ahtahkakoop First Nation asserts that post secondary/technical education is a treaty right and nothing in its acceptance of administrative responsibility for the post secondary/technical program abrogates that right nor the trust, or the fiduciary responsibility of the Federal Government of Canada towards treaty Indian education.

Message from the Chief & Council
The Chief and Council of Ahtahkakoop Band welcomes you to the Ahtahkakoop Post Secondary Support Program (P.S.S.S.P). Ahtahkakoop Band has been operating its own elementary school for twenty-five years, and our new high school with grade nine to twelve since 1993. The Band has taken control of the Post Secondary Student Assistance Program since 1992, Bill C3 funding in January 1998, and Integrated Health Transfer Agreement in 1997. Ahtahkakoop Child & Family Services, (A.C.F.S) has been in operation since April 1, 1998. The Justice and Police Program has been in operation since 1998. Transfer of programs to the Band will provide increased participation of the community in program services and will also provide much needed employment opportunities at the Band level.

These are exciting times for Ahtahkakoop Band Members. We encourage those with a degree, certificate or diploma to submit their application for employment opportunities to the Band Office.

We would also like to take this opportunity to wish everyone the best in their academic endeavors.
