Training to employment opportunities for Band members. We encourage Band members to be proactive by providing our office with their resumes and a covering letter that indicates their interests. A major barrier to training or employment is members who do not have a valid Driver’s License and frequently job postings will have a valid Driver’s License requirement. We will provide this training at no cost, so please register.

We have or are currently offering training opportunities for eligible Band members in Driver Training, Adult Upgrading, Heavy Equipment Operator, and Employment Readiness. It is the practice of INAC to provide eligibility guidelines and this criteria usually prioritizes Social Assistance clients and low income individuals.

We are also looking at the mining sector and those companies that provide on the job training. This is an exciting potential career opportunity for our membership; however, the majority of new job opportunities are off‐reserve. It is important that when you provide us with your resume that you clearly indicate that you are available to relocate if necessary.
