Ahtahkakoop First Nation is seeking an enthusiastic individual to assist in the departments of Payroll/H.R. with payroll, personnel, attendance reconciliations, benefits and over-all payroll and human resource duties as required, assist the finance staff and accounting staff with the data entry of the general ledger entries, post receipts, disbursements, reviews coding, reconciles bank statements, data entry and day to day finances. This employee will function under the supervision of the Director of Finance.
Position: FINANCE CLERK
Type: Full-Time Employment – Six (6) month probationary period
Salary: Salary will commensurate with qualifications and experience
A diploma specializing in Accounting, Administration or Commerce would be an asset.
A minimum of 2 years experience in Accounting/Bookkeeping and use of ACCPAC, and Payroll Software and Excel software would be an asset.
Alternatively, a certificate from an accredited post-secondary institution specializing in accounting, administration or commerce complimented by a combination of training and/or experience in accountancy or bookkeeping.
Knowledge of principles and procedures of accounting and public finance.
