Housing Clerk Intern (Temporary)


Type:               Temporary full-time for a duration of 35 weeks.

Salary:             Will be based upon funding under this Housing Internship Initiative.

Purpose of position

As a successful applicant, under the Housing Internship Initiative for First Nations and Inuit Youth, the youth chosen for this position will be required to have good organizational skills and will perform clerical and database duties.  The individual will be assisting in the tracking, documentation and maintenance of current S.95 housing units.  This position will also require a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle as the individual will be required to travel on-reserve.


  • The youth is Aboriginal;

  • His/her primary residence is on a First Nation reserve or in an Inuit community;

  • He/she is between the ages of 15 and 30 (inclusive). (Youth under the age of 17 will only be considered if they have completed high school or are not legally required to be in school;

  • He/she is not in receipt of Employment Insurance benefits or agree to discontinue the benefits before the start of the internship.

  • He/she must possess a reliable vehicle.
