Elders, Youth & On and Off reserve Membership, Welcome to our Annual Report of 2023. This past year has been very busy for me, the Council, and my staff, with a lot of projects and events going on. In what follows, I will be giving brief updates on the projects we have been working on. The department heads will also be giving more information in their reports.
Our Audit for 2022/2023 is again unqualified. It was completed on time, and once again, we had surpluses in the different departments. I would like to thank our finance staff and Department Heads for working with our auditors, MNP, for preparing it on time. Which is the first time in a while that has happened. Tansi! From the TLE Trustees. The TLE Trustees have been busy in the past 3 months. The TLD Trust Strategic Plan was developed in February 2022. The Trustees and leadership who were available spent several days scouting and reviewing Crown Lands that we may or may not show interest for purchase. Please take the time to read through this newsletter and familiarize yourself with the important information that is made available to the Ahtahkakoop Membership.

I would like to welcome you to our first Birch Bark Report to give our membership an update on each of our departments.

It has been a hectic year with COVID-19 for the last two years and would also like to thank our Pandemic Committee and Team working diligently with our community keeping us all safe with testing, COVID shots and distributing masks and hand sanitizer to homes. Also thanks to our security and food security teams assisting with those who were positive with COVID; helping with groceries and other necessities. Read More...
