Ahtahkakoop Cree Nation Day Care is seeking an enthusiastic individual to assist the Daycare Coordinator in providing a safe, stimulating environment for young children at the Ahtahkakoop Daycare Centre. The Childcare worker will function under the supervision of the Daycare Coordinator. Qualification Required: ECE Level 111 must possess a Grade 12 or equivalent complimented by a valid Diploma in Early Childhood Intervention Programs (ECIP) plus 3 years’ experience in Childcare. ECE Level 11 should possess a Grade 12 or equivalent complimented by a valid Certification in Early Childhood Intervention Programs (ECIP) plus 3 years’ experience in Childcare. The individual designated as Level 1 should possess a minimum Grade 10 education complimented by successful completion of nine credit units (three courses) that are related to early childhood education plus 3 years’ experience in Childcare. They should also be working towards valid certification in ECIP. The Childcare Worker will also be required to pass a police security check and Child abuse record check. The ability to speak/understand Cree is an asset. QUALIFICATIONS: * the individual designated as Level 2.0 must possess a diploma from an accredited post secondary institution specialized in Addictions Counselling.
