PURPOSE OF POSITION: The Educational Assistant will provide assistance to Teachers in the regular day-to-day classroom instruction and activities and/or on-line assistance as required in the case of another pandemic due to COVID.
 
QUALIFICATIONS: For the purposes of determining an employees’ salary classification to the Ahtahkakoop salary grid in place the individual designated as Level 1 must possess a Grade 12 education or equivalent. Level 2 must possess a certificate from an accredited post secondary institution specializing in Early Childhood Education or Educational Assistant. Level 3 must possess a diploma from an accredited post secondary institution specializing in Early Childhood Education or Educational Assistant.
 
The ability to speak/understand the Cree language is an asset. CPIC and Vulnerable Sector Check required.
