Ahtahkakoop Cree Nation is seeking an enthusiastic individual to assist the Treaty Land Entitlement Department with the overall clerical day to day duties including data entry of the finance entries, post receipts, disbursements, and reviews coding. This employee will function under the supervision of the Treaty Land Entitlement Coordinator.


Position: TREATY LAND ENTITLEMENT CLERK


Type: Casual Position $20.00 per hour


SUMMARY:
Under direct supervision, THE TREATY LAND ENTITLEMENT CLERK maintains the Chart of Accounts and ensures that correct accounting codes are applied for all expenses within the TLE Department of the Ahtahkakoop Cree Nation Band. The TLE Clerk is responsible for arranging meetings and recording meeting minutes.


QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
· Training and experience in accountancy or bookkeeping.
· Experience with arranging meetings and recording meeting minutes.
· Experience with cheque processing using Quick Books Accounting Software.
· Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook).
· Knowledge of principles and procedures of accounting and public finance. Experience with General Office duties.
· Must provide a Criminal Records Check.
· Must have a reliable vehicle and a Class 5 Driver’s License.

Homecare Maintenance Worker

Key Responsibilities:

Under general supervision, the Homecare Maintenance Worker will ensure the Homecare Department is cleaned and maintained as per the prescribed schedule of duties and/or janitorial maintenance program.


Requirements:
· A minimum of grade 12 education or equivalent and certification in WORKPLACE Hazardous Materials Information Systems (W.H.M.I.S.).
· Valid Driver’s License
· Ability to work independently as well as a member of a team.
· Must provide CPIC and Vulnerable Sector Query
· He/She must also be aware of proper cleaning procedures and safety measures when encountering spilled bodily fluids.
· Must be flexible, courteous, adaptable, dependable, follow directions well, think critically, manage time well and be physically fit.

Key Responsibilities for Post Secondary Sub Receptionist:
The Receptionist Sub answer phones courteously and greets and assists the workers, students and membership with various inquiries and duties pertaining to the general business of the Band. The Post Secondary Receptionist Sub will be responsible for the continuing up-keep and filing of the post-secondary department when needed or required or while the regular staff are away.
They will operate various equipment including the phone system, fax machine, time clock, email and will be responsible for typing various correspondence ie: letters, memos, emails, and assist the office in the day-to-day activities required to run smoothly. This position will be on a call-in basis / OR when the regular employee(s) is/are on leave.
 
Requirements:
  • Should possess A Grade 12 standing or equivalent.
  • Respond to general inquiries within capability and direct those that require further clarification, or which are program specific.
  • Must be willing to work with all students, staff and businesses, vendors, membership local and external.
  • Must deal with people in a cordial manner and respect the confidentiality of certain information and records in the office.
  • CPIC required.
  • Ability to work independently as well as a member of a team.
  • The ability to speak the Cree language is an asset.

Position: Post Majority Support Services Coordinator

Position Summary:
The Ahtahkakoop Child & Family Services Inc. is seeking a Post Majority Support Services
Coordinator who will work collaboratively with integrated family services to ensure a successful transition to independence. The primary objective is to provide education and awareness to communities about supports available through the program. Assist and support any initial contact with young people who have aged out of the child welfare system so that they continue to be supported as young adults. This position participates as a team overseeing program development implementation and evaluation of the Post Majority Support Services program.

Qualifications:
➢ Must possess a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW or BISW) and a minimum of 2 years of
supervisory experience
➢ Knowledge and commitment to the FSIN Child Welfare and Family Support Act. The
Child and Family Services Act.
➢ Must be computer literate and able to work effectively on database programs.
➢ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
➢ Knowledge of the Cree culture and language would be an asset.
➢ Able to make decisions while working under pressure.

2 IT TECHNICIAN TRAINEE’s
Full-Time Term Position(s)
 
Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:00pm Monday to Friday, may be required to assist IT and Teaching staff after hours and weekends if needed.
Works under the Supervision of the Information Technology Coordinator.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assisting to assemble, configure, install and test computers and peripheral equipment as required
  • Assisting to install software and assist with support and training of staff as required including professional development in basic technology use
  • Assisting to set up cabling and networks as directed
  • Assist with the establishment and maintenance of appropriate data backup, firewall, and virus scan systems
  • Provide assistance with inventory control and maintenance
  • Assisting to maintain and update system images and rollout of tested system image using image software
  • Perform computer maintenance including virus scans, repairs, cleaning etc
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Valid CLASS 5 driver’s license and reliable transportation to work  
  • Secondary and/or postsecondary education  
  • Experience working in an office setting; committing to attendance expectations
  • To work as a team player displaying a positive attitude
  • Ability to work flexible hours, strong customer service skills
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude in a team environment
