Under the direction of the Protection Manager, the EDW worker is responsible to immediately respond to all allegations of the maltreatment of children. In this position you will: investigate child abuse/neglect referrals; assess risk for child safety. You will be required to transport families, provide emergency aid to families in need and may be required to lift and carry small children. The EDW will collaborate with the Protection Manager on an investigative plan and will report and coordinate an investigative approach with the proper authorities. Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position would be obtained through a degree in a human service-related field and experience.
