Ahtahkakoop Cree Nation is seeking an enthusiastic individual to organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of the overall day     to day operations of the Band. He/She will implement the policies, procedures, and regulations of Ahtahkakoop Chief & Council.
 
Position:     ADMINISTRATOR
Type:           FULL TIME TERM POSITION – Six(6) month probationary period.
Salary:         Depending on qualifications and experience.
 
SUMMARY: The Administrator provides direction, management, and leadership in the administrative, business planning, accounting, budgeting, and automation efforts of the Band and its programs. The Administrator will prepare all necessary reporting documents on behalf of the Band for submission to the funding agency(ies). He/she should be knowledgeable of various funding agencies and adhere to the applicable reporting requirements of the Ahtahkakoop First Nation Management Reporting Calendar for their respective programs and/or department.  He/She should be familiar with the terms and conditions of various funding arrangements, funding methodologies, funding formulas, and departmental policies to ensure funding allocations for Ahtahkakoop First Nation are accurate. To Oversee and direct all staff in the local administration and to facilitate regular scheduled meetings for staff under their authority.
 
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
For purposes of determining an employee’s salary classification to the Ahtahkakoop Salary Grid:
Level 2 must hold a university degree from an accredited post-secondary institution specializing in accounting, administration or commerce.
Alternatively, the individual designated as Level 01 should have a diploma in any of the mentioned faculties complemented by proven experience in management.
