Position Summary: The Ahtahkakoop Child & Family Services Inc. is seeking Emergency Duty/After Hours On- Call Worker. Under the direction of the Protection Manager, the EDW worker is responsible to immediately respond to all allegations of the maltreatment of children. In this position you will: investigate child abuse/neglect referrals; assess risk for child safety. You will be required to transport families, provide emergency aid to families in need and may be required to lift and carry small children. The EDW will collaborate with the Protection Manager on an investigative plan and will report and coordinate an investigative approach with the proper authorities. Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position would be obtained through a degree in a human service-related field and experience. ACFS will provide ongoing training and support to the successful candidate if it is deemed necessary. The successful candidate must be legally eligible to operate a vehicle and will be required to work flexible hours.
